JOB TITLES: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
A business development associate participates in marketing activities and efforts to expand sales and new business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Provides ideas to attract new clients and expand sales.
– Maintains client relationships through regular contact and customer service.
– Search out and communicate with prospective expansion clients towards creating new opportunities for business and update their database regularly.
– Understands all of the company’s service offerings and clearly communicates them to clients and prospective clients.
– Liaise with a number of other related business associations to bring about sales increase
– Makes cold calls for new business.
– Qualifies new prospects.
– Working closely with the senior management team to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of the progress of the sales team
– Assists in the writing of proposals.
– Assists in the development of marketing event
– Assists with or conducts presentations for prospective clients.
– Support the organization in developing content for company’s website
– Provide needed response to complaints laid by clients
– Coordinates with other associates to increase sales.
– Generates sales reports and analyzes numbers
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements:
– High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing
– Experiences in marketing and sales are added advantages
– Excellent skills in computer operation, especially in computer packages relating to customer database maintenance and sales
– Excellent communication and presentation skills
– Strong ability to carry out tasks with very little supervision or independently
– Ability to organize and carry out several duties simultaneously
– Having a laptop
– Strong understanding of how social media works and unequaled ability to utilize such media in promoting the business organization’s goods and services.
