The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in database management and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to support the organization’s business and technological needs.
Your role & responsibilities
- Manage PostgreSQL, MySQL (MariaDB), and MSSQL database design and architecture, ensuring high availability and security, and performing routine maintenance (tuning, backup/recovery, monitoring).
- Analyze user requirements and system specifications, developing database architecture and system design documentation.
- Perform routine data backup and restore tasks to ensure data integrity and resiliency.
- Monitor and evaluate database stability/risk periodically or in case of incidents, optimizing performance to meet business requirements.
- Develop and implement security measures to protect data and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Resolve database-related issues, advising on processes, documentation, and regulations.
- Support development teams and end-users in database design, implementation, and optimization.
- Research and apply new database technologies for future projects.
- Maintain and support multiple projects simultaneously.
Your skills & qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL (MariaDB), and MSSQL.
- Experience designing secure, high-availability database architectures.
- Skilled in performance optimization, data backup, recovery, and monitoring.
- Ability to analyze requirements and create system design documentation.
- Experience implementing data security measures and ensuring compliance.
- Proficiency in query optimization and performance management.
- Effective communication with development teams and end-users.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, Certified PostgreSQL DBA, or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) for MySQL (preferred).
